Summary
This dossier is a report on modernisation of education in the EU. The amendments stress education as a right and foundation of citizenship, the effects of digitalisation, automation and robotisation on the labour market, skills mismatches and shortages, basic and digital skills, inclusive and high-quality education to reduce socio-economic inequalities and integrate migrants, and closer cooperation between education systems and labour-market actors, while debating whether education should serve market demands.
