European network of immigration liaison officers. Recast

This dossier recasts the rules creating a European network of immigration liaison officers. Amendments, including one rejecting the Commission proposal, address the increase in forced migration in 2015-2016, deaths at the borders, human rights and non-refoulement obligations, the deployment and coordination of liaison officers in third countries of origin and transit, cooperation between Member States, the Commission and Union agencies, a Steering Board, and joint deployments supported by Union funds.
