Summary

This file concerns support for the CAP Strategic Plans drawn up by Member States and financed by the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development; under the ordinary legislative procedure Parliament and the Council decide together and the result is binding EU law. It was handled by committees including Agriculture and Rural Development and Environment, Public Health and Food Safety. The tabled amendments rework recitals on definitions of genuine and young farmers, farm advisory services, eco-schemes and coupled income support, strengthen environmental and climate ambition tied to the Paris Agreement, and address income volatility and food security. It shares subjects such as rural development with related files including Common Agricultural Policy 2028 to 2034.

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
