Summary
This dossier concerns a regulation on preventing the dissemination of terrorist content online. The amendments revise recitals on the functioning of the digital single market and hosting service providers, debating definitions of terrorist content drawing on existing rules on terrorist offences, the role of competent authorities and Member States, removal orders and duties of care, while strengthening safeguards for fundamental rights such as freedom of expression, privacy, data protection and the right to an effective judicial remedy.
