Summary
This own-initiative report concerns education in the digital era and lessons for EU policy design. The amendments stress education, training and re-training as investment in the EU's future, balanced and responsible use of digital skills and 'digital culture', the Digital Education Action Plan and proposed Digital Europe Programme, high-quality connectivity and high-capacity broadband, closing the digital divide, and cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
