Summary
This own-initiative report concerns the state of the debate on the future of Europe. The amendments concentrate on the common commercial policy — reinforcing cooperation with trade partners and the WTO, defending an open and sustainable global trading system, embedding human rights, social, environmental and gender provisions in trade agreements, supporting SMEs, keeping Parliament informed in negotiations, and referencing the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund and the effects of Brexit.
