Summary
Resolution on the use of Facebook users' data by Cambridge Analytica and the impact on data protection. The amendments cover misuse of personal data for electoral campaigning, compliance of online platforms with EU data protection law including the GDPR and e-Privacy Directive, the targeted advertising model, the role of data protection authorities and the European Data Protection Board, and adapting electoral laws including digital imprints for political advertising.
