Summary

The dossier concerns carbon dioxide emissions from maritime transport and a global data collection system for ship fuel oil consumption data. The amendments address shipping's CO2, methane and air-pollution emissions, climate neutrality and the Paris Agreement, the European Green Deal and extension of the EU ETS to the maritime sector, the EU MRV Regulation and the global IMO data collection system, and the transition to zero-emission ships and ports.
