Summary

This dossier concerns the mobilisation of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for technical assistance. Amendments revise points on the Fund's purpose of supporting workers affected by structural changes in world trade or the financial and economic crisis, the Commission inviting Parliament to meetings, protectionist measures by Member States, publicising EGF-funded actions, and penalising firms that relocate production abroad after receiving aid.
