This own-initiative report covers the economic policies of the euro area for 2019. The amendments add citations (the European Pillar of Social Rights, the Paris Agreement and the UN 2030 SDGs) and recitals on GDP growth, unemployment and job quality, government deficits and debt-to-GDP ratios, the reliability of Commission forecasts, corporate tax planning and evasion, rising inequality and poverty, and reform of the European Semester.
