Subjects: Competition
Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): YON-COURTIN Stéphanie (Renew)
Summary

The annual report on EU competition policy for 2019. The amendments stress a level playing field in a rules-based multilateral trading system, reciprocity and fair competition, State aid provisions in bilateral trade agreements, the role of SMEs, digitalisation and online platforms, and the special status of agriculture under Article 42 TFEU given the imbalance between farmers and other operators in the food supply chain.

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
