Summary

An own-initiative report on the EU Strategy for Gender Equality. The amendments rework recitals on the gender pay gap and the gender gap in pension income, women's economic independence and under-representation in well-paid sectors and decision-making, pay transparency, an intersectional approach, and the disproportionate socio-economic impact of the COVID-19 crisis on women, while referencing the European Pillar of Social Rights, the Sustainable Development Goals and the Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025.
