Just Transition Fund

2020/0006(COD)·9th term·AGRI / BUDG / ECON / EMPL / ENVI / ITRE / REGI / TRAN·COD - Ordinary legislative procedure (ex-codecision procedure)·Completed
Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): KEFALOGIANNIS Manolis (EPP)
Summary

Legislative dossier establishing the Just Transition Fund. Amendments rework recitals on the Fund as a pillar of the Just Transition Mechanism under cohesion policy, tying it to the Paris Agreement, climate neutrality by 2050 and the European Green Deal; they debate how its resources complement cohesion policy, ERDF and ESF+ funding, support territories and workers affected by phasing out fossil fuels, and keep the transition socially fair.

Plenary votes

74 roll-call votes

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
