Summary

A consent file on the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights. The amendments debate a Council regulation widening the competences of the Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA), strengthening its role as an independent EU agency and fundamental-rights watchdog, the unanimity requirement and the Multiannual Framework, its external dimension and cooperation with third countries, and the contested question of scrutinising Member States.
