Summary

A proposal for a Union environment action programme (2021-2030). Amendments revise recitals on the 8th Environment Action Programme and the European Green Deal, the long-term "planetary boundaries" objective and Sustainable Development Goals, biodiversity loss, climate neutrality, circular economy and zero-pollution priorities, multi-level governance, gender-differentiated impacts, and links to the European Pillar of Social Rights.
