Review of the European Union Solidarity Fund
The dossier is the review of the European Union Solidarity Fund (EUSF), established by Council Regulation (EC) No 2012/2002 to assist Member States and accession countries hit by major disasters. Amendments address climate change and more frequent natural disasters, faster disbursement and advance payments, raising the maximum annual amount, the COVID-19 pandemic, the multiannual financial framework, 'Build Back Better' reconstruction standards, public awareness and visibility, and sound financial management.
