Summary

This dossier concerns the 2019 discharge for the European Ombudsman section of the EU general budget. The amendments debate postponing or granting discharge, the scope of the Court's audit of administration, the Ombudsman's mandate and own-initiative inquiries, neutrality and complaints brought through Members, staffing and recruitment, gender and geographical balance, transparency of the Council's legislative work and access to documents, data protection and open-source software, communication and the environmental footprint of the office.
