The protection of persons with disabilities through petitions: lessons learnt
This own-initiative report addresses the protection of persons with disabilities through petitions. The amendments call for implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, effective access to justice, accessibility, reasonable accommodation and accessible digital public services. They address intersectional discrimination including against women with disabilities, detention conditions, political participation, inclusive education, employment, mutual recognition of disability status and the EU disability card, several citing specific petitions.
