Investigation of alleged contraventions and maladministration in the application of Union law in relation to the protection of animals during transport within and outside the Union

Own-initiative report investigating alleged contraventions and maladministration in applying Union law on the protection of animals during transport within and outside the Union. The amendments add references to court judgments, EFSA opinions and resolutions on animal welfare, and address contingency plans for long journeys, certificates of competence for drivers and attendants, fish welfare and sentience, and maritime transport to third countries.
