2020/2273(INI)·9th term·AFET / AGRI / ENVI / INTA / PECH·INI - Own-initiative procedure·Completed
Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): LUENA César (S&D)
Summary

An own-initiative report on the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030, on bringing nature back into our lives. The amendments link biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation to climate change and human rights, address deforestation, land-grabbing and indigenous peoples and local communities, and call for a human-rights-based EU policy approach, mandatory due diligence for deforestation-free value chains, and mainstreaming biodiversity in EU external action.

112 roll-call votes

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
