Summary

This dossier concerns prevention of the use of the financial system for money laundering or terrorist financing. The amendments extend AML/CFT obligations to obliged entities including crypto-asset service providers, crowdfunding platforms, decentralised finance arrangements, traders in precious metals and stones, and independent legal professionals, set thresholds for cash transactions, and address targeted financial sanctions, internal controls and risks linked to unhosted wallets and the metaverse.
