Summary

A directive on common rules for the gas and hydrogen markets. Amendments invoke the European Green Deal, the Paris Agreement, REPowerEU and the phasing-out of fossil gas, promote renewable and low-carbon gases including biomethane, and strengthen consumer protection through billing information, switching of suppliers, comparison tools, dispute settlement and provisions for vulnerable customers.
