Summary

The dossier concerns the energy performance of buildings. The amendments set staged minimum energy performance requirements and target classes with dated deadlines for worst-performing residential, non-residential and public-body buildings, extend rules to major renovations and whole-lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions, and address fossil-fuel system bans, rooftop solar, heat pumps and electric-vehicle charging.
