A Pharmaceutical Strategy for Europe
An own-initiative report on a pharmaceutical strategy for Europe. The amendments stress the EU's strategic autonomy, dependence on third countries for raw materials and active ingredients, security of supply and shortages of medicines, intellectual property protection, patents, supplementary protection certificates and compulsory licensing, research and development, support for SMEs, and access to and pricing of medicines, with repeated reference to the COVID-19 pandemic.
