Own-initiative report on the Commission's 2020 Rule of Law Report. Amendments range from welcoming the report as an addition to the EU's toolbox to disputing the Commission's competence and the scope of the Treaties, and debate its four pillars (judicial independence, anti-corruption, media pluralism, checks and balances), the Article 7 TEU procedure, situations in Poland and Hungary, and proposals for country-specific recommendations and a single monitoring mechanism.
