Summary

This legislative-initiative report concerns citizenship and residence by investment schemes. Amendments revise recitals and recommendations on citizenship by investment (CBI) and residence by investment (RBI) schemes, 'golden passports' and 'golden visas', minimum investment levels, free movement rights, risks of corruption, money laundering, security threats and tax avoidance, weak vetting and due diligence, the role of intermediaries, Member State competence over nationality, and named Member States operating such schemes.
