Implementation of Directive 2009/48/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the safety of toys (Toy Safety Directive)
This own-initiative report concerns implementation of the Toy Safety Directive (TSD). Amendments describe the EU framework as among the strictest globally, cite the child's right to play, address chemicals in toys and the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability, online sales of non-compliant and counterfeit products, market surveillance and warning labelling, standards including for adaptive toys for children with disabilities, impulse noise limits, and consistency with the REACH and RoHS rules.
