The creation of guidelines for the application of the general regime of conditionality for the protection of the Union budget
This own-initiative report concerns guidelines for applying the general regime of conditionality for the protection of the Union budget. Amendments dispute whether the Commission should develop guidelines for the Regulation, stress its rule-of-law conditionality and links to the MFF 2021-2027 and Next Generation EU, deadlines and the Commission's role as guardian of the Treaties, with some amendments objecting to targeting particular Member States.
