Summary

The dossier is the 2020 discharge for the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). Amendments revise paragraphs on the Authority's contribution to food and feed safety and animal welfare, its budget, the independence policy and cooling-off period for experts, transparency towards stakeholders, the risk assessment of genetically modified crops and pesticides including glyphosate, new approach methodologies and artificial intelligence to avoid animal testing, antimicrobial resistance, and novel foods.
