Summary

This dossier concerns the EU Guidelines on Human Rights Defenders. The amendments address the Guidelines as a reference framework for EU institutions, delegations and Member States, financial instruments such as the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights and ProtectDefenders.eu, the EU global human rights sanctions regime, trade and sustainable development policy, lawsuits against public participation (SLAPPs), women human rights defenders, journalists, and attacks and impunity worldwide.
