2021/2253(INI)·9th term·EMPL / FEMM·INI - Own-initiative procedure·CompletedProcedure completed
Rapporteurs (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): PIETIKÄINEN Sirpa (EPP), BRGLEZ Milan (S&D)
Summary

Own-initiative report towards a common European action on care. Amendments call for an ambitious Care Strategy or "Care Deal for Europe" with a care investment package, stress the accessibility, availability and affordability of quality care across the life course, and invoke gender mainstreaming (Article 8 TFEU), the revised European Social Charter and the Charter of Fundamental Rights on the independence and dignity of older persons and persons with disabilities.

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
