Summary

This dossier sets standards of quality and safety for substances of human origin (SoHO) intended for human application. The amendments rework definitions of blood, SoHO, donor and human application, address autologous use, reproductive techniques, tissue banks, human dignity and informed consent, exclusion of organs, and propose a SoHO Coordination Board and EU SoHO Platform.
