Single Market emergency instrument

2022/0278(COD)·9th term·EMPL / IMCO / ITRE·COD - Ordinary legislative procedure (ex-codecision procedure)·CompletedProcedure completed
Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): SCHWAB Andreas (EPP)
Summary

This proposal would establish a Single Market emergency instrument. Amendments revise recitals on how past crises, especially the COVID-19 pandemic, affected the internal market, its supply chains, businesses, workers and consumers, and on obstacles to the free movement of goods, services and persons in cross-border regions. Others edit criteria for assessing crisis impact, the role of economic operators and the activation of an emergency mode by delegated act.

Plenary votes

9 roll-call votes

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
