2022/0345(COD)·9th term·ENVI·COD - Ordinary legislative procedure (ex-codecision procedure)·Completed
Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): TORVALDS Nils (Renew)
Summary

A recast of EU rules on urban wastewater treatment. The amendments set monitoring frequencies and discharge limits for total phosphorus and total nitrogen by agglomeration size in population equivalents, add monitoring of micro-pollutants, micro-plastics and PFAS in wastewater and sludge, require broad chemical screening and data sets on samples and greenhouse gas emissions, and task the Commission with methodologies, delegated and implementing acts and a possible water treatment transition fund.

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
