Summary

Own-initiative report on the implementation of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive. Amendments address the country-of-origin principle, accessibility for persons with disabilities, protection of minors and commercial communications including marketing of food and drinks, European works quotas, video-sharing and on-demand services, geo-blocking and the proposed European Media Freedom Act, while several contest EU competence in media policy.
