Ensuring European transportation works for women

2022/2140(INI)·9th term·FEMM / TRAN·INI - Own-initiative procedure·Completed
Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): ŁUKACIJEWSKA Elżbieta Katarzyna (EPP)
Summary

An own-initiative report on ensuring European transportation works for women. The amendments revise the recitals around women's mobility patterns and trip-chaining, the lack of reliable sex-disaggregated data, women's safety and harassment in public transport, and women's underrepresentation in the transport workforce. Others address mobility poverty, gender-sensitive planning, vulnerability in car crashes, and equal pay and career opportunities.

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
