Summary

An own-initiative report on the European Semester, addressing employment and social priorities for 2023. The amendments invoke the joint employment report, the European Pillar of Social Rights and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, cost-of-living and inflation pressures, in-work poverty and temporary contracts, skills shortages, the impact of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, social protection and services, and climate change including the extension of the EU emissions trading scheme.
