Summary

This own-initiative report concerns ensuring food security and the long-term resilience of EU agriculture. Amendments add citations to the FAO, the WTO, the Farm to Fork Strategy and Policy Coherence for Development, and recitals on undernourishment, the impact of Russia's invasion of Ukraine on wheat, maize and fertiliser exports, import-dependent countries' vulnerability to price shocks, biodiversity and agroecology.
