Summary

The dossier is the 2022 Commission Report on Türkiye. The amendments raise concern over the independence of the judiciary, failure to abide by European Court of Human Rights rulings, and restrictions on freedom of expression and association, address the accession process, the Copenhagen criteria and relations with Cyprus, condemn the crackdown on the HDP and Kurdish politicians and Türkiye's military presence in Syria and Iraq, and discuss refugees.
