Summary

A recommendation on consent to the EU/Chile Advanced Framework Agreement, a modernised trade relationship. Amendments, one calling for rejection, debate the trade and sustainable development chapter, its lack of sanctions and mirror clauses, the Paris Agreement and ILO conventions, indigenous and peasant rights, water scarcity and drought from export-oriented agriculture and mining, the elimination of tariffs leaving 99.9% of EU exports tariff-free, tariff-rate quotas for beef, sheep meat, poultry and pork, and the Trade and Gender chapter.
