Summary

This own-initiative report is a recommendation to the Council, the Commission and the EEAS on the situation in Syria. Amendments cite the Chemical Weapons Convention, UN Security Council resolutions, an International Court of Justice order and a Paris court arrest warrant, and address the failed Geneva and Astana processes, deaths and displacement since 2011, the regime's repression and use of chemical weapons, missing persons, humanitarian needs and the 2023 earthquakes.
