2023/2119(INI)·9th term·AFET·INI - Own-initiative procedure·CompletedProcedure completed
Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): MIKSER Sven (S&D)
Summary

An own-initiative annual report on the implementation of the common security and defence policy for 2023. The amendments add citations to EU-NATO declarations, the Strategic Compass, the European Peace Facility and missions such as EUMM Georgia, EUMAM Ukraine and EUMA, and divide on calls for Member States to increase defence spending, including to at least 2% of GDP, versus warnings against inciting an arms race.

49 roll-call votes

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
