Summary

This own-initiative report concerns EU-Russia political relations. Amendments cite numerous human-rights and international-law instruments and condemn Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine as a violation of international law and the UN Charter; they characterise the Kremlin regime's suppression of rights and freedoms, the establishment of dictatorship, the use of ethnic minorities and indigenous peoples, and criticise the inconsistency of past EU strategy towards Russia.
