Summary

This resolution concerns the UN Climate Change Conference 2023 (COP28) in Dubai. The cited amendments are largely 'having regard to' references to reports and instruments on methane emissions reduction in the energy sector, climate targets and greenhouse gas budgets, water, biodiversity and human rights; substantive amendments call for protecting the dignity, privacy and security of participants from harassment, and for meaningful participation of Global South governments and civil society.
