Improving and enforcing working conditions of trainees and combating regular employment relationships disguised as traineeships (‘Traineeships Directive’)
The Traineeships Directive aims to improve and enforce working conditions of trainees and combat regular employment relationships disguised as traineeships. The amendments address the quality, accessibility, pay or compensation of traineeships, the distinction between trainees and regular employees, unpaid traineeships and the inequalities they create, written paid contracts of limited duration, and the Directive's scope in light of Court of Justice case-law.
