A revamped long-term budget for the Union in a changing world
This own-initiative report sets out Parliament's position on a revamped long-term budget for the Union; as an own-initiative report it states Parliament's own view and is not itself law and is not binding. It was handled by numerous committees including Budgets and Budgetary Control, under the subject Budget of the Union. The tabled amendments call for a post-2027 multiannual financial framework that is simpler, more transparent and better protected against fraud and rule-of-law breaches, strengthening OLAF and EPPO; they invoke the NextGenerationEU instrument, the Draghi and defence-spending gaps, InvestEU and the European Investment Bank, and cover competitiveness, cohesion, agriculture, the green transition and climate neutrality by 2050. It shares the subject Budget of the Union with related files.

Plenary votes
13 roll-call votesIn plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
