Summary

The dossier is the annual report on human rights and democracy in the world and the European Union's policy on the matter. Amendments focus on freedom of thought, conscience, religion and belief, condemning the persecution of Christians, antisemitism and the misuse of blasphemy and apostasy laws, while others address attacks on non-religious, secular and humanist organisations, female genital mutilation, forced marriages, and the role of the UN and international cooperation.
