Additional customs duties on imports of certain products originating in the USA
Ordinary legislative procedure — Parliament and the Council of the EU decide together.
Through the ordinary legislative procedure, Parliament adopts its first-reading position on a Commission proposal amending Regulation (EU) 2018/196 on additional customs duties on imports of certain products originating in the United States of America. The resolution records that the Council representative undertook by letter to approve Parliament's position, so that the position corresponds to the final legislative act, Regulation (EU) 2025/783. Parliament calls on the Commission to refer the matter to it again if the proposal is replaced or substantially amended, and instructs its President to forward its position to the Council, the Commission and the national parliaments. Adopted on 2025-04-01.
No committee amendments are tracked on AmendEU for this procedure; this page follows its roll-call votes in plenary instead.
