Summary

Through this consent procedure, Parliament examined the draft Council decision on the conclusion of the Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Ecuador on cooperation between the EU Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol) and the Ecuadorian authorities competent for combating serious crime and terrorism. On the recommendation of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, Parliament gave its consent to the conclusion of the agreement and instructed its President to forward its position to the Council, the Commission and the governments and parliaments of the Member States and of the Republic of Ecuador. Parliament adopted the resolution on 2026-03-11.
