Guidelines for the employment policies of the Member States

Summary
Through this consultation procedure, in which the Council consulted Parliament under Article 148(2) TFEU, Parliament gives its opinion on the proposal for a Council decision on the guidelines for the employment policies of the Member States. Parliament approves the Commission proposal, calls on the Council to notify Parliament if it intends to depart from the approved text, and asks to be consulted again if the text is to be substantially amended. It instructs its President to forward its position to the Council and the Commission.
